ROACH B. (b. 1990, USA)

Roach is a resident of New York City. They employ film, photography, and collage as a visceral exploration of desire, pain, and trauma. Their work delves into the intersections of sexuality, gender, fetishism, and abuse, challenging the stereotypes associated with each. By layering multiple meanings and incorporating harsh, provocative imagery, Roach blurs the lines between past and present creating artwork that is unsettling in its reliability to the consumer.
